Reaching out to Communities – COVID-19 Emergency Food Distribution Continues

One Earth Foundation opened its doors to reach out to the vulnerable Muslim communities disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 in the Philippines. Total of 60 families at City Camp Lagoon, Baguio City, Philippines, were given essential commodities such as rice, canned goods, beans, milk, sugar, coffee, condiments, and biscuit in the month of May with the help of Imam Abu Yasser. They were very grateful for the support and their genuine “Salamat” (Filipino term for “thank you”) is more than enough reward to empower us.

Every year, Muslims also celebrate Eid-al-Adha to remember Ibrahim’s loyalty and obedience to Allah above all others. One Earth is one with them in celebrating this Festival of Sacrifice. We distributed a holiday surprise of essential supplies to another 35 families last August, 2020.

Let’s continue to spread the spirit of generosity regardless of race, culture, and religion. Together, we can build relationships, overcome disappointment, and generate hope and happiness.

We distributed a holiday surprise of essential supplies to another 35 families last August 2020 and more supplies distributed to 74 families in April 2021.
